The Tour

Welcome to The Barn!

This gorgeous cabin sits at the top of a beautiful pasture, at the foot of a mountain, and nestled between two rushing streams.

For those looking for a spectacular trail riding experience, this cabin sits atop a large barn/workshop and overlooks a lush pasture perfect for one or two horses.

 The structure is certainly unique!

Access to the horse stalls is at the rear of the barn.

An adorable, rustic cabin serves as a wood house and play room for youngsters.

When you arrive at The Barn, you will be greeted by Steve, the steer...

...and a bright red door, reminiscent of a classic barn.

When you enter The Barn's living quarters, you will be greeted by a pleasant mixture of rustic warmth and modern convenience.

The eat-in kitchen seats three to four guests, and the high-top bar accommodates seating for four.  The kitchen includes luxurious touches such as granite counter tops, beautiful farm sink, beautiful and ample cabinet space, and convenient appliances.

Further down the hallway, there is access to the full bath/laundry room, and two cozy bedrooms.

Conveniences include a front-loading washing machine and heavy-duty dryer.

The bathroom is separated into a vanity area with laundry access, and the shower/toilet room, divided by a sliding barn-style door.  The bathroom features beautiful tile-work and radiant heating in the floor.

The "horse" bedroom is aptly themed and sleeps two in a queen size bed.

The "kid's" room provides sleeping for two on cozy bunk beds.  Both bedrooms have individual heaters with thermostat control.

A beautiful stairway to the upstairs loft wraps around a rustic slate corner.  This is the future home of a beautiful wood burning stove.

In the loft, children can enjoy an open space for playing.  The three wooden chests contain adventuresome and constructive toys for entertainment and a selection of clean and appropriate books for all ages.

Two crawlspaces are built into the walls of the loft.  The smaller space is a storage room.  The larger space contains padded mats and colorful artwork and is intended for use as a play space and a sleeping space for children.

This small, cozy space is perfect for an exciting "camp-in".

The loft is open into the vaulted ceiling and overlooks the living and kitchen areas.

The view from the porch, while nestled in a valley, is stunning.

The stream that runs along the east side of the property is a serene spot for thinking and splashing.

This beautiful waterway runs between Rough Knob Road and Mule Stomp.  It can be heard trickling at any time of year and is a pleasant replacement for the bustling sounds of town.

The Barn can be seen from the stream.  For an adventuresome activity, try hunting for craw-fish and arrowheads!

A wall provides support for the bank beside The Barn as well as convenient planters for ground cover.
